Spaced Repetition

NLingo uses spaced repetition scheduling to help you retain vocabulary over the long term. Words are shown at increasing intervals based on how well you remember each one.

How it works

After saving a word, it enters your review queue. During a review session:

1. NLingo shows the original text.
2. You try to recall the translation.
3. You mark whether you remembered it correctly.
4. NLingo schedules the next review - sooner if you struggled, later if you remembered easily.

Over time, words you know well appear less often, freeing up review time for words that need more practice.

Starting a review session

Open the Review section from the dashboard. NLingo shows only words that are due for review today, so sessions stay short and focused.

Progress tracking

Each word has an individual progress state. The dashboard shows how many words are due, how many are in progress, and how many you have mastered.
